Senior officials from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) conducted an official site visit to review ongoing project work delivered by Awimax Energy Limited, commending our team's engineering standards, project management capabilities and commitment to delivering quality results for Nigeria's energy sector.

Official NNPC Visit to Awimax Project Site

The visit provided an opportunity for NNPC representatives to inspect first-hand the quality of engineering and construction work being delivered by Awimax Energy. The delegation carried out a thorough review of the facility, project documentation, HSE management systems and quality control procedures in place.

Showcasing Nigerian Engineering Excellence

The official visit served as an important platform for Awimax Energy to demonstrate the capabilities of Nigeria's indigenous engineering firms in delivering world-class petroleum infrastructure projects. Our Managing Director, Engr. Abdulwahab Yesufu, welcomed the delegation and presented Awimax's portfolio of completed and ongoing EPCIC projects across the country.

The NNPC officials expressed satisfaction with the technical standards observed on site, particularly commending the quality of civil and structural work, pipework fabrication and installation, and the robust HSE measures in place. The visit reinforced NNPC's confidence in partnering with indigenous contractors who can deliver petroleum infrastructure projects to international standards.

Commitment to Nigerian Content

Awimax Energy Limited is committed to the development of Nigeria's local content in the oil and gas industry. We employ Nigerian engineers, technicians and skilled workers, source materials from local suppliers where available, and invest in training programmes to build indigenous capacity in EPCIC project delivery.

The recognition from NNPC aligns with Awimax's core mission of demonstrating that Nigerian companies can compete on quality and deliver petroleum infrastructure projects of the highest standard — without compromising on safety, timeline or technical performance.

Graduate Internship Programme

In keeping with our commitment to building the next generation of Nigerian petroleum engineers, Awimax Energy also operates a Graduate Internship Programme that gives young Nigerian engineers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced practitioners on real EPCIC projects. Learn more about the programme through our Awimax Foundation page.
