Zainab Alaaya leads Awimax Energy Limited's finance and accounts function, providing the financial management discipline and oversight that underpins the company's commercial strength and sustainable growth. She brings structured financial management expertise to Awimax's leadership team, ensuring the company operates with financial rigour and transparency.
As Head of Finance and Accounts, Zainab is responsible for the full scope of Awimax's financial management — from day-to-day bookkeeping and accounts administration through to financial reporting, project cost control, budgeting and treasury management. Her work ensures that Awimax maintains a healthy financial position from which to invest in its people, capabilities and business growth.
Project Financial Management
Zainab plays a critical role in supporting Awimax's project delivery through robust project financial management. She works closely with the Operations and Engineering teams to set up project cost budgets, track expenditure against budgets throughout project execution, and provide timely financial reporting that helps project managers identify and respond to cost variances.
Her expertise in project accounting ensures that Awimax is able to manage its working capital effectively across multiple concurrent projects — a critical capability for an EPCIC contractor managing substantial procurement and construction expenditure flows on behalf of clients.
Financial Compliance & Reporting
Zainab manages Awimax's financial reporting and statutory compliance obligations, including preparation of management accounts, coordination of annual audits, and filing of tax returns and other statutory financial submissions. Her meticulous approach to financial record-keeping and reporting supports Awimax's reputation as a well-governed, trustworthy business partner.
Supporting Business Growth
As Awimax Energy continues to grow its project portfolio and expand into new markets, Zainab provides the financial management foundation that enables confident investment and expansion. Her financial analysis and planning input supports the MD/CEO and Executive Director in making sound strategic and commercial decisions, and her work on bid costing and pricing is an important part of ensuring Awimax's commercial proposals are both competitive and financially viable.
